Pourboard

by Ownworks

The system a floor shop runs on.

Pourboard puts bids, schedule, bags, sand, tickets and billing in one place, built for gypsum underlayment and floor leveling. Your copy, in your accounts. Built and run by Ownworks.

Before Pourboard

Sound familiar?

i.

The calendar is a spreadsheet, the bag count is another one, and they never agree.

ii.

You find out you're short on bags when the truck is loading.

iii.

Sand gets ordered the day before, if somebody remembers.

iv.

The first two weeks of every month go to building the invoice list.

v.

The real schedule lives in the scheduler's head.

What it does

One system, from the bid invite to the invoice.

Every step feeds the next, so nothing gets typed twice.

  1. 1

    Bid

Every invite in one pipeline, with lost bids kept, not deleted.

  2. 2

    Estimate

A takeoff by level and area, and bag, roll and sand counts from your coverage and mixes. The estimate sheet is set up to match yours.

  3. 3

    Propose

Your proposal on legal paper, with your terms and responsibilities, signed online.

  4. 4

    Schedule

Week and month views, drag and drop, crew lanes, and status colors your crews already know.

  5. 5

    Supply

Schedule a pour and its bags and rolls come off the count. Sand orders go out on time, already in the supplier's format.

  6. 6

    Send the crew

The ticket goes out by email, text or print. The foreman sees the week on an iPhone, the waiver is signed on the phone, and the office enters the returned ticket.

  7. 7

    Bill

Each month's list builds itself from the work done, by schedule of values, with retention held and released at closeout. COD jobs are flagged to collect.

Where it comes from

Built inside a working shop.

Pourboard wasn't adapted from a plumber's app. It was built with a gypsum floor shop, from their real calendar, tickets, takeoff sheet, proposal and change order form.

It handles what generic software misses:

  • Jobs done over several trips
  • Two crew types
  • Prevailing wage
  • Change orders on your own form

Ownership

You own it.

Your Pourboard runs in your accounts, with your data, your catalog, your prices and your forms. There's no per-seat license that grows every year. Your estimating math stays yours and is never shared with another shop.

Before you book

Questions owners ask.

Does it replace QuickBooks?

No. It builds the invoice list; your books stay where they are.

Do my crews need logins?

Only foremen, and they only see what they need.

Is it secure?

Every user has a password plus an authenticator code, the owner can revoke access instantly, every change is logged, and there are nightly backups in your own account.

Can we bring our customers over?

Yes, from a spreadsheet.
